Based on a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or qualification earned in a field other than theology (BA), applicants, based on a comparison – as defined in the Higher Education Act – of the knowledge on which the credit is earned, are to be eligible for 90 credits of the core curriculum of the BA in Theology Program. Comparison of previously completed studies is carried out by the Credit Transfer Committee of the institution that started the program. If less than 90 credits but at least 30 credits can be certified based on the comparison above, the missing credits must be earned within four semesters from the date of admission, in accordance with the study and examination regulations of the institution that started the program.

7. The aim of the program:
The aim of the program is to train intellectuals who are highly educated in the study of theology and are thus able to engage in the spiritual leadership of individual denominations and religious communities, and to train and educate committed pastors holding a BA degree who can carry out the pastoral duties of their denomination with full competence and who can become the spiritual, pastoral, and liturgical leaders of their communities. They will have the necessary knowledge to pursue their studies in a doctoral program.
8. Foreign language requirement: To obtain the master’s degree, applicants must have a state-recognized intermediate level (B2) complex language examination or equivalent school-leaving certificate or degree certificate in at least one foreign language.
